How Personal References Affect a Job Seeker’s Employment Potential
When we apply for a job, one of the things asked is personal references. By personal references, we generally mean people that can give a decent account of the jobseeker’s employment record.
Ideally, personal references should be composed of people that know you on a professional basis. They should be knowledgeable about your work style, responsibilities and quality of work performance. They should never be your personal acquaintances as they usually lack the needed information employers want to get.
When hiring employees, employers choose only the best ones. Personal references serve as their tool in measuring your qualifications. So make sure you have the right people in mind.
